Scout was out of FC AFC My Pal Joe and FC Sunrise Gypsy Girl. Joe nailed a 100-yard downwind retrieve in the fifth series of the 2005 Open Nationals in Odgen, UT. FC Sunrise Gypsy Girl placed fourth in the 2004 National Open in Hutchinson, KS with a similar retrieve in the fifth series. No wonder Scout was a great retriever.
Scout was the first dog to win the National Open and be the high points dog in the same year with 51 points with 8 wins in 2010. Scout's AKC open points in her career was a total of 136 with 16 wins. Scout also won High Point Open Springer of North America in 2014.
Scout's first litter out of FC Sunrise Z Man produced nine healthy pups. There were four field champions - FC AFC Sunrise Zach of Farview, FC CFC Sunrise Dance of the Spirits, FC Sunrise Ranger Boardway, and FC Sunrise Zed. Scout's second litter was out of FC Sunrise Zang that produced NFC FC Sunrise Seneca Kypling.
Scout's excellent nose and her control won her the National. She was consistent and could always figure out problems and come back with the bird.
