Commemorative Marker Program
A Way to Honor Great Dogs on the Bird Dog Foundation Grounds
The
BDF Board has launched a unique program set up to enable all sporting dog fans
to commemorate their special four-legged companions on the grounds of the Bird
Dog Foundation. The program is an appropriate way to allow the Foundation’s many
patrons across the country to memorialize favorite dogs, be they simple hunting
companions or perhaps renowned field champions. All breeds within the sporting
group are eligible. What better way to memorialize that faithful friend than to
place a memorial on the hallowed grounds of the National Bird Dog Museum?
A field trialer, hunter, or dog fan may purchase through
the BDF the gray granite marker resembling a headstone. No dogs will be laid to
rest on the BDF grounds, but the marker will remain as a permanent memorial to a
favorite companion or canine competitor.
Priced at $1,200 each, the attractive markers will be made
in Georgia granite, flat design, 20”x10”x5”. Proceeds will be earmarked to the
BDF Endowment Fund. Wording will be limited to name, accomplishment, birth/death
year, and owner/handler; additional lettering is at a cost. Processing time
after payment is received will take about six weeks. Placement is at no added
cost and special ceremonies will be allowed. For more information, contact David
